Ingredients:

Spice Mix:
1 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
¼ tsp ground cloves
tsp ground nutmeg

Meatballs:
1 lb ground lamb
1 egg, beaten
½ cup fresh breadcrumbs
¼ finely chopped shallot
½ cup finely chopped parsley
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp pomegranate molasses
1 tbsp whole parsley leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients for the spice mix in a small bowl and mix thoroughly. Put all meatball ingredients in a large bowl, sprinkle the spice mix evenly over the top and mix well with your hands to blend. Use an ice cream scoop or wet hands to shape the meat into 1¼-inch balls.

Working in batches, brown the meatballs in olive oil over medium heat until cooked on all sides. Finish the meatballs in the oven on a rimmed baking sheet, until a final interior temperature reaches 160 degrees. To serve, drizzle the pomegranate molasses over the top and garnish with whole parsley leaves.
